My career started as a developer — building ecommerce platforms for some of the UK's biggest brands. Then I founded and ran my own consultancy for nearly eight years, and in doing so learned something most DevOps engineers never do: what it actually costs when things break.

That experience changed how I think about infrastructure. It's not just pipelines and YAML. It's the thing that determines whether a team ships on Friday or fires people on Monday. I design systems that are reliable by default, automated where it matters, and actually understandable to the engineers who inherit them.

Today I work at Waypoint Trading Solutions — the global financial infrastructure business established by TNS, uniting TNS' Financial Markets division with Radianz. We deliver ultra-low-latency connectivity, managed hosting, and market data solutions to the global trading community.
